This is a personal art project I’ve been working on for some time. I wanted to blend my lifelong adoration of classic children’s literature with my memories of living in a Victorian-era dormitory in college. All assets were modeled by me. All textures (save for wall art) were hand-painted by me.
Mary Lennox’s side of the room is decorated with mementos from her childhood in India, as well as the flowers and plants she still enjoys cultivating in her spare time. Though she eventually outgrew her sour, bratty personality, she never quite mastered the art of cleaning up after herself.
Wendy Darling’s side of the room is decked out with pirate and mermaid paraphernalia. Though more responsible and mature than her roommate (having been the eldest of three in a working-class home), Wendy still keeps a plush Saint Bernard on her bed and leaves the window open each night for Peter.
Mary hopes to become a physical therapist one day, and Wendy is majoring in childhood psychology.
